1. Commissioning Manager – Electrical
Location: Tanzania (Site-based)
Contract Duration: 18 Months
Role Summary: Leads the commissioning of high-voltage substations, distribution systems, and automation/control systems while ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise commissioning of transformers, HV/MV switchgear, circuit breakers, and auxiliary systems.
- Prepare commissioning plans, test procedures, and handover packages.
- Manage relay testing, SCADA integration, and communication protocols.
- Lead and manage multidisciplinary commissioning teams.
- Review engineering deliverables and coordinate subcontractors.
- Troubleshoot and prepare reports.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s/Master’s in Electrical Engineering.
- 12–15 years’ experience in commissioning large electrical systems.
- Strong background in HV/MV substations, oil & gas, SCADA.
- Leadership in team management.
- Knowledge of commissioning tools (Omicron, Megger).
- Familiar with IEC, IEEE, NFPA standards.
- Preferred: PMP, COMPEX certification, African regulatory knowledge (EWURA, PAU).
2. ECS Engineer (Electrical Control Systems) – Electrical
Location: Tanzania or Uganda (Site-based)
Contract Duration: 18 Months
Role Summary: Installs and commissions ECS for substations and ensures integration with SCADA systems.
Responsibilities:
- Install/test feeder interlocks, transformer switching, and protection.
- Validate panel wiring and logic diagrams.
- Coordinate with protection, SCADA, and commissioning teams.
- Troubleshoot ECS issues.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s in Electrical/Control/Automation Engineering.
- 4–6 years’ experience in control system commissioning.
- Proficiency in PLC programming, wiring verification, MS Office.
- Knowledge of substation systems, Modbus, IEC 61850.
- Preferred: Experience with Electric ECS platforms; Swahili/French.
3. Fire & Gas (F&G) Engineer – Electrical
Location: Tanzania or Uganda (Site-based)
Start Date: October 2025
Role Summary: Tests and commissions fire and gas detection systems in hazardous areas.
Responsibilities:
- Install and validate F&G detectors, alarms, control panels.
- Configure/test F&G logic for shutdown systems.
- Conduct loop checks and functional tests.
