  2. Performing daily QC checks on all laboratory processes and procedures for accurate and reliable test results.

  1. Pharmacist (4 Posts)

  Location: Dar Es Salaam City Council, KinondoniTemeke and Ubungo

  Reports to: Facility In-Charge

  Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Making sure that the storage and dispensing area is clean, safe and conforms to laws governing pharmacy and pharmaceuticals.
  2. Projecting consumption estimates for each drug item on Monthly basis.
  3. Making order of drugs from main store of your respective district store according to anticipated Monthly requirements by filling authorized tools i.e. ordering and requisition voucher.
  4. Receiving deliveries and counterchecks and sign off all drug deliveries.
  5. Keeping records of all receipts and issues. Maintain bin card for each item and keep a running balance.
  6. Storing, distributing and controlling the stock and ensures uninterrupted supply of drugs at all times by ensuring Max-Min stock level of 2/1 Month at all times
  7. Redistributing the nearly expiring drugs to sites that can consume them before the expiring dates.
  8. Controlling and separating immediately the damaged and expired drugs from the shelves/cupboard and keep all set aside for destruction.
  9. Monitoring prescriptions from dully authorized prescribers for appropriateness and discrepancies.
  10. Dispensing/refilling all prescriptions.
  11. Providing medication adherence counseling to patients.
  12. Maintaining records of all drugs issued to patients to dispensing register, paper based and or software.
  13. Preparing and submitting monthly drugs consumption report which includes stock level and number of patients on ARVs per regimen to district Supply Chain officer before 5th of the next Month.
  14. Providing drugs information’s to patients including other member of the clinical staff
  15. Maintaining confidentiality and keeps patient information and records secure

  1. Phlebotomist (9)

  Reports to: Facility In-Charge

  Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Collecting blood samples from clients for laboratory testing.
  2. Delivering blood to the Laboratory after collection.
  3. Obtaining supplies and equipment needed for collection of blood samples.
  4. Responsible for handling and monitoring flow of patient specimen including blood draw and documentation.
  5. Keeping blood collection area and phlebotomy tray clean and restock for future use.
  6. Taking part in providing information and counseling to the patients.
  7. Delivering lab test results to Clinic.
  8. Perform any duties as may be assigned by the site Manager.

Requirements: Education, Work experience and Skills:

  1. Diploma in Medicine, Nursing or related field with relevant national registration.
  2. At least two (2) years of experience working in public health programs/ services.
  3. Ability to communicate fluently in both English and Kiswahili.

  Location: Amana Regional Referral Hospital

  Reports to: Stores Officer

  Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Carrying out daily cleaning and tidying of stores work areas. Ensure store is clean at all times and free from accumulated dust and waste.
  2. Ensuring that boxes of goods are arranged properly on the shelves and pellets.
  3. Carrying out general stores operations which includes, loading and offloading goods from the vehicles.
  4. Performing any other duties as may be assigned by the Store officer.

  Requirements: Education, Work experience and Skills

  1. Diploma or Certificate in Materials and Stock Management from a recognized college;
  2. Advance or Ordinary secondary level education from a recognized school;
  3. At least 2 years in the field of expertise.

 

  1. Job Title: Community HIV Tester (23 Posts)

  Location: Dar es Salaam CC, Kinondoni and Ubungo MCs

  Reports to: Facility In-charge

  Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Providing KVP friendly services client centered approach.
  2. Working with peer educators in creating awareness and education on the existence of identification services and preventive services.
  3. Ensuring all HIV testing services is performed according to national HIV testing algorithm.
  4. Providing ongoing counselling with psychosocial support and testing while maintaining confidentiality and patient rights.
  5. Compiling and submit all report on daily, weekly, monthly or quarterly report to HTS focal and MDH supervisors.
  6. Monitoring the quality of test kits by the use of suitable control materials, sample from laboratory department.
  7. Ensuring safe storage of CBHTS related items and prepare all the necessary consumables for undertaking CBHTS activities on time.
  8. Keeping accurate CBHTS record.
  9. Working with team members to monitor Quality improvement plans with regards to the established performance targets or indicators.
  10. Working with Data Officers for Data entry of new identified clients into the CTC2 database.
  11. Providing health education on importance of clinic adherence to the clients and treatment supporter.
  12. Participating in outreach and campaigning in reaching targeted population for testing and prep services.
  13. Participating in QI activities that aimed to increase CBHTS efficiency.

  1. Position Title: Human Resource Officer (3 posts)

  Location: Geita, Tabora and Kagera

  Reports to: Human Resource Manager

  Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Coordinating the recruitment and selection activities including formulation of job descriptions, advertising and management of interview process including collection of references for successful candidates.
  2. Ensuring all relevant on boarding documentations for each position per policies are received on or before first day of employment and are verified.
  3. Preparing various HR related correspondences and communications.
  4. File all important HR documents in appropriate files as guided by the HR Manager, making sure all personnel files always remain under lock.
  5. Coordinating and delivering of HR related management training and induction programs.
  6. Managing staff wellness matters including medical and life insurance, coordinate preparation of Identification Cards together with Business Cards for new employees as required.
  7. Collaborating with the Senior HR Officer in completion and submission of timesheets on monthly basis and in a timely manner.
  8. Managing absenteeism for both short- and long-term absences in line with HR policies and prepare employee work attendance reports on monthly basis for management decision.
  9. Maintaining employees leave system and advise staff on the importance of taking break from time to time thus avoiding unnecessary accumulation/loss of leave.

  4. Excellent knowledge of current Tanzania Labour Laws.
  5. Conversant with payroll process and its related statutory deductions and payments.
  6. Demonstrable capability of handling confidential HR information.
  7. Must have HR professional approach, coupled with strong interpersonal skills.
  8. Excellent planning and organizational skills with ability to multi task.
  9. Excellent communication (both verbal and written) and presentation skills.
  10. Experience in working with Human Resource Information systems.
  11. Must be computer literate – conversant with, Microsoft Office i.e. Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc.
