SRD Grant Cancellation Steps (How to Cancel). The President declared a National State of Disaster as a result of the Covid-19 global pandemic. In this regard he introduced a special Covid 19 Social Relief of Distress Grant (SRD) of R350 per month for 6 months to be paid to individuals who are currently unemployed, do not receive any form of income, social grant or UIF payment etc.

This Social Relief of Distress Programme was confirmed in the Regulations made under Section 27(2) of the Disaster Management Act, 2002 (Act No. 57 of 2002): Measures to prevent and combat

SRD GRANT CANCELLATION

  1. Visit SRD Website: https://srd.sassa.gov.za
  2. Under Cancel my Application tab: click here to cancel online
  3. Provide ID number and mobile number, then click send pin
  4. Client will receive a sms with 6 digit OTP number
  5. Applicant must insert the OTP number and click verify pin
  6. Click cancel my grant
  7. A message will pop up to ask if applicant is
    sure about the cancellation of the grant
  8. Click YES to continue with the cancellation;
  9. Click NO to Discard
