JOB TITLE: HSE Officer
Job Purpose:
To provide efficient and effective assistance in the management of DCL Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE) initiatives, programs, procedures, trainings, work practices and controls to be implemented and monitored for effectiveness and continual improvement for regulatory compliance & DCL HSE standards.
Job Roles (Duties & Responsibilities):
- To assist the Head HSE in identifying and assessing risks and possible HSE hazards of all aspects of plant operations and provide input into identification and mitigation of risks.
- Daily presence within the plant, ensure proper housekeeping standards are kept within the area of responsibility.
- To conduct daily plant inspections for HSE Compliance.
- Participate in incident investigation and preparation of formal reports on findings including recommendations to Head HSE.
- To execute and follow up HSE corrective action plans.
- To participate in HSE meetings and deliver trainings as required.
- Provide safety awareness through leading by example.
- Develop daily reports on inspections.
- Report any unsafe acts, conditions or near miss.
- Carry out daily topics within your area of responsibilities.
- To inspect daily work permits and ensure proper adherence to procedure.
- Assist with regulatory compliance and to follow up any updates.
- To track and ensure reporting of HSE non-conformances and follow up for correction.
- To actively participate in the planning and execution of emergency evacuation drills.
- To Identify and manage the environmental aspects and impacts.
- To provide environmental awareness culture within the area of responsibility.
- To perform any other HSE related duty as assigned by Head HSE.
Requirements
Job Requirements:
- Degree in environmental science /Engineering or related studies.
- Certification on NOSHIC I and/or NOSHIC II.
- Experience of at least 2 years in HSE.
- Experience in cement Industry will be added advantage.
- Strong technical skills & Proactive attitude.
- Able to respond to heavy demands and high work pressure.
- Good knowledge/skills on basic computer softwares.

Description
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Recruiting and interviewing potential applicants on experience, skills, and education
- Drawing up plans for future personnel hiring procedures and goals

JOB TITLE: Personal Assistant For Country Manager/ CEO
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Co-ordinate and Maintain the diary of the CEO/Country Manager including organizing of all appointments, meetings, Travel Allowance etc.
- Identify, anticipate and prepare information required for the CEO/Country Manager for meetings, preparation etc, and follow up inward and outwards requests for information, outstanding reports, and correspondence.
- Arrange both internal and external meetings requested and in advance for recurring meetings.
- Handling incoming calls and other communications
- Tale dictation and minutes in the meeting whenever required.
- Process expense claims and advances for the CEO/Country Manager as per requirement.
- Schedule team meetings, prepare agenda and draft minutes.
- Booking and arranging travel, transport and accommodation and logistics for guests whenever required.
- Reminding the CEO/Country Manager of important tasks and maintain deadlines.
- Typing, Compiling, preparing reports, presentations and correspondence.
- Be in liaison with Senior HR Officers in all matters related to Administration including rest house, office environment, official visitors etc.
- Perform any other duties as assigned from time to time by CEO/Country Manager.

- Holder of Diploma in Secretarial Studies or Business Management.
- At least 8 years of working experience in relevant position.
Skills and Competencies
- Excellent written and oral communication both English and Swahili language
- Excellent use Microsoft Office (Words, Excel, Power Point and Outlook)
- An understanding of confidentiality issues and the use of discretion
- The ability to work at his/her own initiative and to tight deadline
- Typing speed of 50WPM
