Franklin University Switzerland offers merit scholarships to admitted students who have demonstrated high academic achievement. Applicants are considered for merit awards as part of the admissions process, which are awarded at the point of admission with priority given to students applying by December 1 as priority application deadline. After this date, additional need-based scholarships may be awarded on top of merit scholarships, depending on a student’s need and subject to availability.
Franklin University Switzerland Merit Scholarships
Merit scholarships are adjusted to the differing tuition rates for students at Franklin, with the awards ranging from CHF 1’000 to CHF 6’250

Responsible Leadership Scholarship
The Responsible Leadership Scholarship program is a merit award for qualified students accepted into the Master of Science or Master of Arts programs. It was established to recognize individuals who clearly demonstrate a deep commitment to leading positive change in organizations and communities.
Competition for the Responsible Leadership Scholarship is open and merit-based. Selection is based on an applicant’s fit with the program’s objectives, academic excellence, professional aptitude, and leadership potential in the field of responsible management. Fluent English language proficiency is also considered. All eligible applicants will be reviewed by a committee.
Qualifying Programs:
This merit award is available to qualifying students admitted to one of the following programs:
- MA in Responsible Arts Management and Cultural Heritage
- MSIM in Responsible Management and Climate Change
- MSIM in Digital Transformation
- MSIM in Leadership for Sustainable Food Systems
Eligibility
Applicants must meet all of the following criteria
- be EU and/or EEA citizen;
- demonstrate maturity, flexibility, and leadership potential in the field of responsible management in Climate Change, Digital Transformation, Sustainable Food Systems, and in the Arts and Cultural Heritage
- have an earned bachelor’s degree as of June 15 with an excellent academic record;
- demonstrate proficiency in the language of instruction (English) at a level required for admission by Franklin University Switzerland;
- be able to receive and maintain a visa or study permit as required by Switzerland
Amount of award
- CHF 6,250 (25% of the tuition fee).
Deadline
students must submit a complete application for admission by June 15th to be considered for the scholarship for the Fall Intake, or November 15th for the Spring Intake.
Net Positive’s Master Scholarship
With the mission to prepare students to become responsible, compassionate, and collaborative leaders, FUS offers 2 competitive Scholarships in the new flagship Net Positive Management Program, for students applying for Fall 2022.
Besides the Master’s program curriculum, the students will be active associates in the projects and initiatives designed and promoted by the Taylor Institute, FUS Green Office and the association OIKOS Lugano. The recipients will also have the opportunity to earn additional CHF 2,000 for engaging in one of the several projects around sustainability and responsible management through the University and our external partners such as the UN organizations (UNITAR, UNICEF, UN Habitat, FAO…), the WEF, the City of Lugano, the Lugano Living Lab, local and international business, NGOs and Cultural organizations.
Qualifying Programs
This scholarship is directed to new students starting one of the following programs:
- MA in Responsible Arts Management and Cultural Heritage
- MSIM in Responsible Management and Climate Change
- MSIM in Digital Transformation
- MSIM in Leadership for Sustainable Food Systems
Eligibility:
- students from all nationalities can be considered for this scholarship
- demonstrate maturity, flexibility, and leadership potential in the field of responsible management in Climate Change, Digital Transformation, Sustainable Food Systems, and in the Arts and Cultural Heritage
- demonstrate the ability to make an impact around responsible management and contribute in making this world “net positive”—giving more to the world than they take.
- have an earned bachelor’s degree as of June 15 with an excellent academic record;
- demonstrate proficiency in the language of instruction (English) at a level required for admission by Franklin University Switzerland
- be able to receive and maintain a visa or study permit as required by Switzerland
Amount of award:
up to CHF 5,000. The recipients will also have the opportunity to earn an additional CHF 2,000 for the Spring semester, for engaging in one of the several projects around sustainability and responsible management through the University and our external partners

Applications need to be submitted by April 30, 2022.
