UOFT Login: Helpful Guide UOFT Webmail Login Access 2022. UOFT Webmail is the University of Toronto weblogin service (UTORweblogin) and provides a single place for you to identify yourself to web services within the University.
This is commonly called a “single sign-on” (SSO) system. Once you log in to weblogin.utoronto.ca, you can access services like the Portal and webmail as well as other weblogin-enabled web services.
What is a UTORid?
Your UTORid (along with your password) is your userid for a number of different services. Some of these are:
An increasing number of websites are using Weblogin to give users the experience of single sign-on. You log in (authenticate) once using your UTORid and password and you can access participating websites without having to authenticate again.
How do I get a UTORid?
New Students
You will have received a flyer in your acceptance package that has directions for getting a TCard. When you visit the TCard office, you will be given your UTORid and a “SAK sheet”. See the bottom of this page to activate your UTORid.
Staff/Faculty
Staff or faculty hired by UofT (as opposed to one of the federated colleges) should contact their business officer.
Staff/Faculty of Federated Colleges
If you are a staff or faculty member of one of the federated colleges you will have to visit the business officer in your college to obtain your UTORid. Your business officer has a tool that allows him/her to upload you to our central database and retrieve a UTORid and SAK.
Contractors, Temporary Staff/Faculty, Visiting Professors
If you fall into one of these categories, (and do not appear in HRIS), the department you are working for should apply for a Long-Term Guest UTORid.
Existing Students/Staff/Faculty
All students, staff and faculty who are already part of UofT and did not get a UTORid in one of the ways mentioned above should visit the TCard office in Koffler. Bring your previous Library identification card or TCard, and the office will issue you a UTORid as well as a new TCard and SAK sheet.
Short-Term Visitor
If you are a visitor who requires a UTORid for a period of 5 days or less, you can be sponsored by a staff or faculty member for a Short-Term Guest UTORid.
Alumni
Alumni who already have a UTORid can keep using it after they graduate. Alumni who don’t have a UTORid should contact Alumni Services. Click here for more details.
Postgraduate Medical Education
If you are a part of the PGME program, take your letter of offer to the TCard office. The staff there will be able to print you a card that has your UTORid on it, and a SAK sheet.
A single point of login simplifies access to protected services. Users can log in once with a single JOINid/UTORid and password and have access to many services. Service providers can authenticate users without having to maintain their own password systems.

Login Problems
If you believe you know your password, please visit UTORid Password Verification Page to try it. We cannot retrieve your password. We store a one-way encryption: we can verify a password, but we cannot decrypt what we store. If you have forgotten your password, a new password must be chosen using a password reset procedure.
Password Requirements
UofT is updating its password authentication systems. This weblogin service uses an authentication mechanism that will not accept a password that does not meet current requirements. If your password is relatively weak (and, likely, old), we highly recommend you change it. And it may be necessary to change your password in order to use this login service. In the near future, all authentication will require passwords meet stronger rules. Change Password

How to Log OutExit Your Browser
U of T weblogin stores information in your web browser, using a feature called cookies. When you exit your browser, these cookies are cleared and you are logged out of weblogin and the services that use weblogin for authentication.
Caution: Your browser may preserve cookies across browser sessions. The Chrome browser, in particular, now maintains cookies even after exiting. This enables you continue where you left off. While convenient, it conflicts with the intent of session cookies: exiting your browser should clear all of your session cookies ensuring no one can access your application privileges. If your browser maintains cookies across exit/restart, you need to ensure you have logged out of each application.
To exit your browser, look for the close, exit, quit, or “X” button.
