Job Opportunities at Prevention and Combating of Corruption Bureau (PCCB) – April 2026
The Director General of the Prevention and Combating of Corruption Bureau (PCCB) wishes to invite qualified Tanzanians to fill vacant posts in PCCB District Offices as shown below.
1. Investigation Officers II (250 Posts)
Required Qualifications
Academic Qualifications:
- Applicants must possess a three-year Advanced Diploma or Undergraduate degree from a recognized learning institution in any of the following fields: Accounting, Architecture, Business Administration, Building Economics/Quantity Surveyor, Chemical Processing Engineering, Community Development, Computer Science/IT, Construction Engineering, Economics and Planning, Electrical Engineering, Food and Nutrition, Human Resource Management, Land Management and Valuation, Law, Mechanical Engineering, Oil and Gas Engineering, Procurement, Project Management, Psychology Counselling and Guidance, Public Administration, Public Relation/Mass Communication, Record Management, Sports Science/Physical Education, Statistics, and Water Engineering.
- A minimum pass of Lower Second Class is required.
- Good working knowledge of IT and computer applications.
- Registration by a relevant Professional Board is an added advantage.
Other Qualifications:
- All applicants must be Tanzanian citizens.
- Minimum age of 18 years and must not have attained the age of 29 years as of May 2026.
2. Assistant Investigators II (250 Posts)
Required Qualifications
Academic / Technical Qualifications:
- Security Skills: Recognized Basic Technician Certificate, Technician Certificate or Diploma in Wildlife Management and Law Enforcement (NTA Level 4–6), or Basic Peoples Militia Training from a recognised institution in Tanzania with proven ability in guarding, access control, and basic incident response.
- Motor Vehicle Mechanics / Panel Beating / Spray Painting: NVA/NTA Level 3–4 certification in the relevant automotive field with demonstrated hands-on vehicle maintenance and repair experience.
- Driving Skills (Class “C” Drivers): Valid Class C driving license with a clean driving record and proven experience in safe vehicle operation. Ability to perform basic vehicle repair is an added advantage.
- Customer Service / Office Assistant (Office Attendant): Basic Certificate in any field with strong customer care skills and ability to support office operations effectively.
- Assistant Accountant: Recognized diploma in Accounting with knowledge of public financial procedures and systems.
- Secretarial Studies (Personal Secretary): Diploma in Secretarial Studies with proficiency in office management, communication, and use of ICT tools.
- Computer Technician (Computer Repair): Technical certification or Diploma in computer maintenance with proven skills in diagnosing and repairing hardware, networks, and basic software issues.
- Office Machine Technician (Office Equipment Repair): Relevant technical training with ability to install, maintain, and repair office machines (Printers, Photocopiers, Scanners).
Other Qualifications:
- All applicants must be Tanzanian citizens.
- Minimum age of 18 years and not above 25 years old.
3. General Requirements and Conditions for All Applicants
- Applicant must be a person of high integrity.
- Applicant must not have any criminal record.
- Submission of forged certificates or false information shall be subject to legal action.
- Applicant who has previously been dismissed or terminated from the Public Service for any reason is not eligible to apply.
- Public servants must channel their applications through their respective employers.
- Applicants must attach certified copies of the following documents:
- Degree/Advanced Diploma Certificates and Academic Transcripts
- Form IV and Form VI Certificates
- Standard VII Certificate
- Professional Certificates (where applicable)
- Birth Certificate
- One recent passport-size photograph
- Foreign academic certificates must be certified by the relevant regulatory authorities in Tanzania (TCU, NACTVET, NECTA).
- Applicants must attach a detailed Curriculum Vitae (CV) including working experience, physical address, postal address, email address, and telephone numbers.
- Applicants must submit names and reliable contacts of three referees.
- A valid National Identification Card (NIDA) or registration number is mandatory.
- Testimonials, partial transcripts, and result slips shall not be accepted.
- Application letter must be handwritten in either Kiswahili or English.
- Applications that do not include all required attachments will not be considered.
- Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted.
Important Note: Once recruited, all successful applicants will be posted to work in any PCCB District Office across Tanzania.
