Final Call For Applying NSFAS Funding 2025, The National Student Financial Aid Scheme (NSFAS) would like to remind all prospective applicants that the 2025 NSFAS bursary and loan applications cycle will close on the 15 December 2025 at 24h00 midnight.
Since the opening of NSFAS 2025 funding application on 20 September 2025, the scheme has received a total of 738 117 bursary and 48 097 loan applications from prospective recipients in need of financial aid. Almost 543 357 bursary and 12 210 loan applicants are provisionally approved for funding.

Who is eligible to apply for NSFAS Funding?
You qualify for a NSFAS bursary if you are a South African citizen who plans to study in 2025 or you are already studying at a public university or TVET college and you meet the following requirements:
- SASSA grant recipients.
- Applicants whose combined gross household income is not more than R350 000 per year.
- Persons with disabilities whose combined gross household income is not more than R600000 per year.
