2026 Online Admissions GP: Gauteng Grade 1 & 8 Applications Open 24 July 2025. The Gauteng Department of Education (GDE) has officially announced the opening dates for the 2026 Online Admissions GP application process for Grade 1 and Grade 8 learners. Parents and guardians in Gauteng should take note that the application period will begin on 24 July 2025 and close on 29 August 2025.
This online admission system is designed to make it easier, faster, and more transparent for parents to apply for placement of their children in public schools across the province.

How to Apply

- Complete the application form with accurate learner and parent details.
