How to Apply Gauteng Nursing Intake 2025/2026

Who Can Apply for Gauteng Nursing Intake 2025/2026?
Applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Be a South African citizen residing in Gauteng Province
- Possess one of the following:
- Senior Certificate (Grade 12)
- National Senior Certificate (NSC)
- Currently in Grade 12 (final Grade 11 results will be considered)
- National Certificate (Vocational) in Primary Health
Subject Requirements:
1. Senior Certificate:
- English HG D or SG C
- Biology HG D or SG C
- Mathematics HG D or SG C
- Minimum M Score: 17
2. National Senior Certificate (NSC):
- English Level 4
- Life Sciences Level 4
- Mathematics Level 4 or Maths Literacy Level 5
- APS: 27 or higher (Life Orientation counts 50%)
3. National Certificate (Vocational):
- 50% in Fundamental Subjects (English FAL, Maths/Maths Lit, Life Orientation)
- 60% in Vocational Subjects (SA Health Care System, Public Health, Human Body and Mind, Community Oriented Primary Care)
Required Documents:
- Certified copy of your school leaving certificate, statement of Grade 12 results, or final Grade 11 results (if currently in Grade 12)
- All documents must be uploaded online
- Shortlisted candidates must present original documents at the selection center

Note: Completion of the recruitment process does not guarantee admission into the program.
Important Notes
- Successful candidates will need to sign a learning contract with the Gauteng College of Nursing.
- They must also be ready to participate in Work Integrated Learning (WIL), which involves:
- Night shifts
- Working weekends and public holidays
- Rotations at hospitals and clinics under the Gauteng Department of Health
- Own funding is required. The program does not offer bursaries or financial support.
