Job Opportunities At TARURA Katavi – Drivers. The Rural and Urban Roads Agency (TARURA) was officially opened by Prime Minister Kassim Majali Kassim on July 2, 2017. The launch of TARURA was followed by an announcement in Government Gazette No. GN 211 of 12 May 2017.
The Prime Minister directed TARURA to reject the massive bribery that is involved in bidding processes, especially on road projects. “Only competent contractors should be hired to execute road projects through competitive bidding,” the Prime Minister said.

He also directed TARURA to address the poor management of construction contracts between Contractors and the Authority in road projects, emphasizing transparency in all public works contracts.
