Pan African University Scholarship Programme 2025/2026. The general public is hereby informed that the Pan African University (PAU) Scholarship Programme will offer full scholarships for the academic year 2025/2026. Eligible Tanzanian nationals are invited to apply for Master’s and PhD degree programmes at any of the following institutes:

2. Admission Requirements
2.1. Master’s Programmes
Candidates must meet the following requirements:
- Must not be older than 30 years for male and 35 years for female applicants.
- Must have an Undergraduate degree from a recognized university with at least a second-class upper division or its equivalent in a relevant field.
- Must provide certified true copies of relevant certificates and transcripts (university and high school).
- Must be a Tanzanian citizen and provide a valid passport or National ID card (personal details page required).
- Must submit a clear, colored passport-size photograph (2cm x 2cm).
- Must provide a detailed Curriculum Vitae (CV).
- Must submit a recommendation letter from one former university lecturer.
- Must provide the names of three (3) university lecturers as references, including their email addresses and WhatsApp numbers (Mandatory).
Academic competence must be evidenced in academic transcripts at the bachelor’s level. Candidates should scan the necessary documents in PDF format before applying.
2.2. Doctoral (PhD) Programmes
Candidates must meet the following requirements:
- Must be a maximum of 35 years old for male applicants and 40 years old for female applicants.
- Must hold a Master’s degree in a relevant field from PAU or any internationally recognized university.
- Must provide certified copies of relevant certificates and transcripts.
- Must be a Tanzanian citizen and submit a valid passport or National ID card (biometric/personal details page).
- Must provide a clear, colored passport-size photograph (2cm x 2cm).
- Must submit a detailed Curriculum Vitae (CV).
- Must provide recommendation letters from two (2) professors.
- Must submit a 3 – 4 page Research Concept Note, including:
- Tentative title
- Research questions
- Objectives
- Significance of the research
- Must provide the names of three (3) university lecturers as references, including their email addresses and WhatsApp numbers (Mandatory).

The Government of the United Republic of Tanzania will not provide loans or grants for candidates awarded this scholarship. The African Union Commission will provide full scholarships to successful candidates.
