Organized by the Brooklyn Public Library, this prestigious program has supported the dreams of local entrepreneurs since 2003—nurturing over 10,900 individuals, reviewing more than 1,800 business plans, and awarding over $650,000 in cash and in-kind gifts.

Who Can Apply for PowerUP Business Plan Competition 2025?
To be eligible, applicants must:
- Be 18 years or older
- Live in Brooklyn and plan to launch a business in Brooklyn
- Attend an orientation session
- Obtain a Brooklyn Public Library Card
- Meet with a business advisor
- Attend a minimum of three PowerUP webinar classes
