Scholarship Opportunities from the Arab Republic of Egypt, 2025/2026. The Ministry of Education, Science and Technology is pleased to announce that the Government of the Arab Republic of Egypt is offering scholarships to Tanzanian students for Undergraduate, Master’s, and PhD programmes at various universities in Egypt for the 2025/2026 academic year.
Application deadline: 15 September 2025
1. Eligibility Criteria
Bachelor’s Degree Applicants
- Must be younger than 19 years of age by 01 January 2026.
Master’s Degree Applicants
- Hold a recognized Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
- Minimum GPA: 3.8 or equivalent.
- Must be younger than 26 years of age by 01 January 2026.
Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) Applicants
- Hold a recognized Master’s degree from an accredited institution.
- Minimum GPA: 4.0 or equivalent.
- Must be younger than 32 years of age by 01 January 2026.
2. Required Documents
Applicants must submit the following:
- Certified copy of birth certificate.
- Certified copy of passport biodata page (if available).
- Certified copies of academic certificates and transcripts (with English translations if issued in another language).
- Medical certificate issued by a registered medical practitioner.
- Curriculum Vitae (CV).
- Recommendation letters.
- Personal statement (Statement of Purpose).
- Research proposal (for postgraduate applicants only).
3. Medical Fitness
Applicants must provide a medical report confirming that they are free from infectious or communicable diseases.

4. Other Conditions
- Applicants are required to pay a registration fee for the review of their documents by EGYAID.
- Applicants must not already be enrolled in any Egyptian university.
5. Application Procedure and Submission
All interested candidates should follow these steps:
- Visit the official portal: https://admission.study-in-egypt.gov.eg
- Complete the online application form.
- Select your preferred programme(s) and submit all required documents.
- Ensure that your application is submitted no later than 15 September 2025.
⚠️ Note: The Government of the United Republic of Tanzania will not provide loans or grants for candidates awarded this scholarship.
6. Interviews
- Shortlisted applicants will be contacted for interviews, conducted by the relevant Egyptian institutions.
