UAN Login step by step
Here’s a step-by-step guide on how to login to the UAN (Universal Account Number) portal of the Employees’ Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO) in India:
Step 1: Visit the EPFO’s UAN Member Portal
Go to the EPFO’s official UAN Member Portal website at https://unifiedportal-mem.epfindia.gov.in/memberinterface/.
Step 2: Click on “Activate UAN” (For first-time users)
If you are logging in for the first time, click on the “Activate UAN” button on the bottom right corner of the page.
Step 3: Enter UAN, Member ID, and other details
Enter your UAN, Member ID, and other required details, such as your name, date of birth, mobile number, and email ID. You may also need to enter a Captcha code for security purposes.
Step 4: Click on “Get Authorization PIN”
Click on the “Get Authorization PIN” button, and an authorization PIN will be sent to your registered mobile number and email ID.
Step 5: Enter Authorization PIN
Check your mobile number and email ID for the authorization PIN. Enter the PIN in the provided field on the UAN Member Portal.
Step 6: Click on “Validate OTP and Activate UAN”

Step 7: Set Password
On the next page, set a password of your choice for your UAN account. Enter the password in the required fields, and click on the “Submit” button.
Step 8: Login with UAN and Password
Once your UAN is activated and password is set, you can now login to the UAN Member Portal using your UAN and password. Enter your UAN, password, and Captcha code, and click on the “Sign In” button.
Step 9: Access UAN Dashboard
After successful login, you will be able to access your UAN dashboard, where you can view and manage your EPF account details, such as PF balance, PF passbook, and other online services.
Note: If you have already activated your UAN and set a password, you can directly login with your UAN and password without going through the activation process.
