Since its launch in 2023, the program has already provided:

  • $4 million in funding
  • Support for 150 youth-led climate projects
  • Projects implemented in 59 countries

In 2026, the program returns with its fourth round of funding, supporting projects led by youth aged 18 to 29 years.

Funding Amount

  • Successful applicants can receive up to $30,000 in seed funding to implement their climate action projects.
  • Selected projects may be implemented for up to 24 months, allowing participants to develop long-term impact solutions.

In addition to funding, participants receive training and mentorship opportunities to strengthen their projects.

Thematic Areas for 2026

  • Food & Agriculture
  • Climate, Peace and Security
  • Oceans and Blue Economy
  • Sustainable Fashion and Textiles
  • Architecture for Adaptation

Who Can Apply?

The Youth4Climate Call for Solutions 2026 is open to:

Young Individuals

  • Aged 18 to 29 years
  • Must meet the program’s eligibility requirements

Youth-Led Organizations

Eligible organizations include:

  • Civil Society Organizations (CSOs)
  • Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs)
  • Community-Based Organizations (CBOs)
  • Youth-led companies

The organization must have majority youth leadership aged 18–29 at the time of application.

Additional requirements include:

  • The project must be implemented in one of the 158 eligible countries covered by UNDP
  • The project lead must be a national of an eligible country

Project Design Bootcamps

Interactive training sessions designed to help youth transform ideas into practical and scalable climate projects.

Learning Resources

Participants can access tools, courses, and guides developed with Youth4Climate partners.

How to Apply for Youth4Climate Call for Solutions 2026
