The new Land Cruiser 300 is based on the new GA-F platform, which is based on TNGA while retaining the ladder frame structure. The overall weight of the vehicle is said to have been reduced by 200 kg.
The front end design of the new Toyota Land Cruiser features a massive main grille surrounded by a secondary grille flanked by sleek LED headlights with integrated chunky LED DRLs. The beefy hood remains with a few changes, while the muscular front bumper is new and features LED fog lights. From the side you’ll notice that not much has changed between the LC300 and the previous LC200 – the iconic Land Cruiser boxy profile remains.
The LC300 now has new alloy wheels and door mirrors that give it a slightly more modern look. The rear of the new Land Cruiser comes with redesigned LED taillights, a stub roof spoiler and a revised bumper. Toyota has also changed the design of the tailgate, which is now more upright but better shaped than before. The new Land Cruiser is not very different from the previous generation model.
However, there are many changes inside the cabin, which now looks more premium with newer features. Toyota has added unique fingerprint identity verification technology to the new Land Cruiser SUV. Additionally, there is a 9-inch infotainment system that can be upgraded to a 12.3-inch unit. The system is compatible with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.The SUV also offers wireless charging, a 360-degree camera and a head-up display.
In international markets, the Toyota Land Cruiser 300 is powered by two twin-turbo engines.
The 3.3-liter twin-turbo V6 diesel produces a maximum output of 309 hp and 700 Nm of maximum torque. The 3.5-liter twin-turbo petrol engine delivers 415 hp and 650 Nm. Both engines are mated to a ten-speed automatic transmission that sends power to all four wheels.
The new LC300 has the same 32 degree angle of attack as its predecessor. depending on the variant, the angle of departure can be up to 26.5 degrees, the ground clearance is 230 mm.Like its predecessors, the new Land Cruiser 300 comes standard with 4x4s, but the new model features a more advanced Multi-Terrain Select system that adds Deep Snow and Auto modes, and a Multi-Terrain Monitor system you get underbody camera. It also features a revised control system that maintains the SUV’s speed when driving off-road.
