CATA Mining is seeking to recruit Plant shift Electrician, Lineman/Domestic electricians, Fitter Mechanical as well as Boiler Maker to join our team. The successful candidate for this position is expected to drive change within this team and will ensure activities in the Engineering Department are effectively planned and undertake in a safe manner to achieve targets according to standards, policies, and procedure of CATA Mining Company Limited.

JOB TITLE: FITTER MECHANICAL (3 Posts)

Location: Musoma, Tanzania

Reporting to Maintenance Supervisor

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Maintenance and repair of plant equipment’s such as Jaw crusher, Cone crusher, Impact crusher, Vibrating screens, and pumps Knowledge in conveyor splicing, comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas
• Maintain and improve health & safety environment and housekeeping standards within site policies and procedure
• Able to work shift, Conduct machine inspection and do preventive maintenance diagnose the problem, replace or repair parts
• Perform regular preventive maintenance on machine equipment and plant facilities, hands on to daily activities, and take instruction from Plant supervisor 

QUALIFICATION AND SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE

REQUIREMENTS:

• Ordinary/Advanced level certificate – Form IV/VI
• Trade Test Certificate – (FTC/VETA) and 5 Years’ experience in the same position
• Mining experience is an added advantage. Mine Health & Safety Act awareness
• Excellent communication in English, both writing and verbal also should be able to identification hazard and Risk assessment

JOB TITLE: LINEMAN/DOMESTIC ELECTRICIANS (2 Posts)

Location: Musoma, Tanzania

Reporting to Electrical Section Head

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Performs electrical installations Maintenance on power lines covering all areas in the mine site.
• Leads day shift electricians and casuals for new installations, Repair of power lines from blueprint, sketches, and instructions.
• Call out duties for immediately repair for the lighting system, relocation, and other electrical concerns on the Mining pit areas
• Assist in electrical installations, preventive maintenance services of all electrical equipment are in plant areas Workshops, offices housing Complex and Mining Pit areas
• Perform duties as may be required or Assigned by your HOD

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

• Ordinary/Advanced level certificate – Form IV/VI
• Electrical trade certificate – (FTC/VETA) and 4 Years’ experience in the same position
• Mining experience is an added advantage

SKILLS / KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS:

• Excellent communication in English, both writing and verbal. . Mine Health & Safety Act awareness

JOB TITLE: BOILERMAKER (1 Post)

Reporting to Plant Supervisor

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for the repairs and fabrication as per instruction from plant supervisor Flexible to perform various activities as per instruction and able to work shifts
• Can interpret drawing and can make suggestion plans and comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas.

QUALIFICATION SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE

REQUIREMENTS:

• Ordinary/Advanced level certificate – Form IV/VI
• Trade Test Certificate – (FTC/VETA) with 5 years’ experience on the same position
• Mining experience is added advantage Excellent communication in English, both writing and verbal Hazard identification and Risk assessment
• Mine Health & Safety Act awareness

JOB TITLE: PLANT SHIFT ELECTRICIAN (1 Post)

Location: Musoma, Tanzania

Reporting to Electrical Section Head

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Attending to all installations troubleshooting, Maintenance and repairs all existing electrical equipment in the mine site, such as Grinding mills and auxiliaries. Comply with Occupational Health and Environmental Policies, as well as CATA Mining policies, procedures, and guideline
• Implementation and execution of all tasks and instructions as instructed by HOD
• Install and maintain of all electrical equipment at the standard required by CATA Mining as well as provide appropriate on-the-job training and coaching to less experienced team
• Maintains log Sheets to record current, voltage readings of specified connected bads of the plants during assigned shift
• Ensure total adherence to all safety, health, and environmental procedures and guidelines as well as all other company policies and procedures

QUALIFICATION AND SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED:

• Ordinary/Advanced level certificate – Form INI
• Electrical trade certificate – (FTC/VETA) and 5 Years’ experience in industrial electrical
• Mining experience is an added advantage
• Computer literate in the Microsoft Package Applications – Word, Excel, PowerPoint Project, and Visio
• Excellent communication in English, both writing and verbal
