The president of Tanzania Samia Suluhu Hassan has said new 40000 public servant to be employed so as to increase efficiency in the operation and provision of Service
“We are going to make a Structural service change that will cost Tsh. Bil.120 and also to recruit 40,000 new Staff to reduce the burden on existing Staff especially in the Education and Health Sectors, these new jobs will cost Tsh. Bil. 239 ” President Samia at the workers day celebrations in Mwanza today
The President of Tanzania, Samia Suluhu Hassan has said that despite his desire to increase salaries, the Government cannot do so at present due to a number of challenges including the outbreak of Covid-19 virus caused by the corona virus.
However, the head of state has promised to increase salaries during the Labors Day celebrations, in 2022.
To deliver on this promise, President Samia has ordered the immediate creation of a payroll board that will enable him to understand the level of increase in the salaries of public servants and the private sector.
He stated this today Saturday, 2021 Mwanza Region in celebration of the workers‘ holiday which has been held nationally in the region.
While apologizing to the workers for not quenching their thirst for wage increases, President Samia said it hurts to see workers not being paid for a long time and he wants to increase but the reality is holding him back.
To alleviate the suffering of workers, President Samia said the Government has reduced various taxes and levies on workers’ salaries.
