Get all updates to Check BECE Examination Results 2022/2023 here. Basic Education Certification Examinations (BECE). To transit from the ninth year of the basic education class to the senior secondary, the BECE is conducted for candidates in their third year of the Junior Secondary School.
While each state of the federation and the FCT conducts the BECE for its candidates, NECO conducts the BECE for Federal Unity Colleges, Armed Forces Secondary Schools and other Federal establishments operating Secondary schools. Private Secondary schools also take part in the NECO BECE provided they are permitted by their State Ministries of Education.
Eighteen subjects are administered at the BECE level. A candidate is expected to sit for a maximum of eleven subjects. A candidate is deemed to have passed the BECE if he/she has passes in six subjects including English and Mathematics.
The grading system for this examination is as follows:
- A – Distinction
- B – Upper Credit
- C – Lower Credit
- P – Pass
- F – Fail
BECE Examination Results 2022 Release Date
The West African Examinations Council wishes to inform the public about the date for the release of results for the BECE for School and Private Candidates, 2022.
Having successfully conducted the examination at 2,023 centres and completed Co- ordination and Marking exercises, the Council is far advanced with post-examination activities.
Investigations are ongoing into examination irregularity cases detected during and after the conduct of the examination. For a quick resolution of malpractice cases, the Council appeals to affected school authorities and candidates to respond with dispatch to its invitation. Candidates are informed that their refusal to honour such invitations shall not impede the Council from making a final determination on the cases in question.
The Council urges the public to disregard all information circulating on social media indicating that the results have been released, among others.
The target date for the release of results for the BECE for both School and Private Candidates, 2022 is Wednesday, 25th January, 2023.
Steps to Check BECE Examination Results 2022/2023
The National Examinations Council, Nigeria allows students to Check My BECE 2021 Exam Result, by simple flowing five (5) simple. Students can also email or print your result.
- Step 1: Switch ON your laptop or mobile with an internet connection.
- Step 2: Open Internet browser (Internet Explorer or Google Chrome)
- Step 3: In address bar type “https://result.neco.gov.ng/“
- Step 4: Select year Examination Type |BECE|.
- Step 5: Select year of Examination |2021| .
- Step 6: Enter your card PIN number “__________”. (Your PIN is at the back of the NECO BECE Scratchcard)
- Step 7: Enter your BECE Examination Number “__________”.
- Final Step: Click on “Check My Result” button.
