The Tanzania Institute of Education (TIE) is a government institution under the Ministry of Education, Science, and Technology, established under Act No.13 of 1975 (CAP 142 RE 2002). TIE’s primary mandate is to translate government policies on education into curricula, support materials, and programs to promote quality education at Pre-primary, Primary, Secondary, and Teacher Education levels.
TIE’s Key Functions:
- Designing, developing, and reviewing curricula for Pre-primary, Primary, Secondary, and Teacher Education.
- Preparing curricular support materials, including textbooks, syllabi, and teacher guides.
- Providing in-service teacher training to enhance curriculum implementation.
- Conducting research on educational matters related to teaching, learning processes, and education quality.

1.1. Marketing Officer Grade II: 6 Posts
1.2. Duties and Responsibilities
The Marketing Officer will be responsible for:
- Marketing and promoting TIE products to increase brand visibility.
- Identifying and targeting potential customers.
- Selling TIE products.
- Providing accurate product information to customers.
- Issuing quotations and ensuring sales are made to creditworthy customers.
- Following up on customer payments for timely collections.
- Gathering market feedback on underperforming products and suggesting improvements.
- Performing other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
1.3. Qualifications and Experience
Candidates should hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Entrepreneurship, Business Administration/Commerce with a focus on Marketing, or an equivalent qualification from a recognized institution.
1.4. Remuneration
An attractive remuneration package is offered according to the TIE Scheme of Service (PGSS 6.1).
