Earthquake Tanzania Today, Tetemeko La Ardhi Tanzania, Tetemeko la Ardhi Dar es Salaam Leo, Earthquake Dar es Salaam. A very strong dangerous earthquake was felt along the coast of Tanzania on Wednesday evening. According to USGS the epicenter was located about 150 kilometer south-east of Dar es Salaam.
Moderate intensities were recorded across Dar es Salaam and on Zanzibar island. However, due to the distance between epicenter and coast, the impact of the quake will be reduced. Minor to moderate damage (cracked walls, etc.) is still likely in coastal areas of Pwani region, Morogoro. People in this area should also expect an aftershock sequence. There is no tsunami threat.

The magnitude 5.9 earthquake shook tonight. Reported to have a depth of 12 km. It has covered some areas In Dar es Salaam including Ubungo, Kigamboni, Morocco, Tegeta, Mbagala, Mikocheni, Kimara and other more places
