In the past two years one of HakiElimu’s programmatic focus in its 2017 – 2021 Strategic Plan has been on girls’ education. To this end, Haki Elimu has implemented a Girls Retention and Transition Initiative (GRTI) in 11 districts.
The initiative seeks to ensure that girls complete their schooling, and become young women who are empowered to reach their full potential, so they can earn their own livelihoods, which will benefit families as well as the economic growth of their communities and Tanzania.
Due to impressive results of the pilot phase, Haki Elimu intends to scale up this initiative to 22 programme districts.
Haki Elimu is therefore looking for a Consultant/Consultancy Firm to undertake a complementary baseline survey for the GRTI. The details of the GRTI project and this assignment are provided in the Terms of Reference (ToR) which are accessible through www.hakielimu.or.tz.
Please also note that HakiElimu is committed to keeping children safe from abuse and harm. Consequently, candidates applying for provision of this consultancy service will be subjected to child safeguarding checks.
