HESLB allocate Loan To 2009 New Students. The Higher Education Student Loans Board (HESLB) today (Thursday, December 24, 2020) informs the students of higher education institutions that it has announced a list of 2,009 new students of the allotted loans worth TZS 6.02 billion.
This group, as has been the case with other students who have been assigned loans in previous phases, have been organized based on their needs and additional information they have submitted and verified accordingly.
Thus, to date, a total of 55,287 first-year students have been allocated loans worth TZS 179.17 billion in four phases, including the one announced today. For this academic year 2020/2021, the target grew to provide loans to about 54,000 first year students.

“All they have to do now is visit their SIPA accounts used to apply for a loan and they will receive detailed information about the loan and the results of the appeal,” said CEO Abdul-Razaq Badru today (Thursday, December 24, 2020) in Dar es Salaam.
In the academic year 2020/2021, the Government has allocated TZS 464 billion for a total of 145,000 student loans. Among them, first-year students expected to be 54,000 and another 91,000 are continuing their studies.
