HESLB Notice To Public Released Today 30th May 2020, HESLB Paid TZS 63.7 Billion For 81 Universities
Higher Student Credit Board Executive Director (HESLB) Abdul-Razaq Badru has already said his institution has sent TZS 63.7 billion to 81 colleges and educational institutions for repayment of food loans and accommodation to a total of 132,119 students intending to start classes on June 1. “
Yesterday, May 28, 2020, a total of TZS 63.7 billion had already sent in colleges for payment of food and accommodation fees for the third quarter of the 2019/2020 academic year and we have announced the funding they are reaching students as intended by the Government, ”said Badru today (Friday, May 29, 2020) in Dodoma in a meeting with the media.

The conference was held at the University of Dodoma (UDOM) and attended by the Vice-Principal of the University. Faustine Bee, representatives of student leaders led by the Chairman of the Student Union of Higher Education Institutions (TAHLISO, Peter Niboye and UDOM Student Government President Godfrey Mwamwenge.
Addressing the conference, Prof. Bee said his college has received student funding and has begun accepting receiving students starting today, May 29 and that procedures for enrollment and funding are underway.

In turn, Niboye has reminded students to make sure that they fulfill their obligation to arrive at colleges, sign the necessary documents to raise funds on time as directed by the Government through HESLB and colleges. “We as TAHLISO are grateful to the Government for opening colleges and providing quick funding, but we urge all students to get to college, and those with credit to fulfill their signing duty … we will not be ready to receive complaints from students for not fulfilling their obligations,” he said.
