The Intern Locally Led Development will support Jhpiego’s localization strategy by assisting with various tasks related to capacity building, system strengthening, and community engagement. This internship provides an opportunity to gain hands-on experience in LLD focused project management and institutional capacity strengthening strategies for Jhpiego Tanzania.

Responsibilities
- Assist in developing training materials and resources for local strategic partners LLD interventions.
- Support the organization and coordination of workshops, training sessions, and webinars.
- Collect and analyze feedback from training participants to improve future sessions.
- Facilitate regular meetings with at least four CSOs, LNGOs or local institutions and organizations (publicand private) on a quarterly basis
- Support organizing continual meetings with local organizations and identify potential areas of collaboration and actively search for funding opportunities
- Update portfolio of mapped local organization on regular basis and support the Eco System Mapping
- Support in conducting Skills Matrix – i.e. mapping of the country office competencies to support capacity
- strengthening of strategic partners and regional support, as TA hub
- Help following up submitted partnership letters to new potential donors: – Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (Irish Aid)-Ireland – Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) – German Agency for International Cooperation (GIZ) – Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOIKA) – UNICEF and GAVI
- Help in creating/customizing tools and templates to support organizational development
- Assist in the implementation and monitoring of system improvement initiatives/OCA Action plans, findings and recommendations
- Provide administrative support for preliminary joint project planning and execution.
- Help track partners development progress and prepare status reports
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in social sciences, or a related field.
- Strong interest in global health, capacity building, and community development.
- Excellent research, writing, and communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Previous knowledge in an NGO or related field is an added advantage
