As a Camp Manager your role is responsible for implementing site safety and environmental policies as well as overseeing staff, facilities, and general operations of the camp. This position works collaboratively with the Exploration and Environmental departments to support their field activities.

SCOPE AND PURPOSE OF JOB:
To ensure guests are well served their meals and drinks, work together with other staff and management in a smooth, safe, and harmonious manner to ensure guests have a memorable stay.
DUTIES, RESPONSIBILITIES & PERFORMANCE STANDARDS
Daily Duties
- Answer inquiries pertaining to camp policies and services and resolve occupants’ complaints.
- Lead, manage, teach and coach camp teams, including support members, food services, housekeeping, laundry, maintenance, and other team members.
- Conduct employee training programs and performance management to ensure efficient operations and adherence to company standards, policies and procedures.
- Greet and briefing basic information to guests, visitors, or clients
- Resolve customer complaints or problems.
- Manage guest services and activities
- Inspect guest rooms, public areas, and grounds for cleanliness and appearance.
- Coordinate front-office and Back of House activities of the camp with Central office
- Monitor petty cash activity of the camp
- Oversee assigned duties of staffs to ensure safety or compliance with rules.
- Document organizational or operational procedures.
- Managing movement of staffs according to company policy
QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum 3 years’ experience as Camp manager or Assistant
- Previous experience in bush camps will be highly valued
- Studies according to the position
- High level of English speaking
- Leadership skills, guest oriented, strong communication skills
- Knowledge on Ms package
- Team-orientation, loyalty and excellent leadership skills
- Flexibility, commitment, dedication and reliability
- Good manners and a positive attitude
- A hospitable and service-oriented attitude
- Age in between 30-45 yrs old
- Good knowledge on the following:

POSITION: OPERATIONS ASSISTANT

As an Operational Assistant your responsibility is to act as the direct liaison between Head Office and Camps regarding imprest and park fees (accounts)
To ensure an efficient, friendly, and timeous delivery of service. To work in conjunction with the other field ops agents and Asilia staff members

DUTIES, RESPONSIBILITIES & PERFORMANCE STANDARDS
- Monitoring progress on information to each department, especially accounts
- Responsible for all field ops petty cash applications and reconciliations.
- To ensure all camps Tanapa and NCAA requirements are met
- To Liase between TANAPA, NCAA and the office
- To follow-up on all TANAPA/NCAA requests
- Ensure all camps have imprest and petty cash as required
- Arrange all transport for internal office staff
- Arrange all camp uniforms and ensure that all staff in camps are correctly dressed
- Ensure all data capture at Head Office
- Ensure all reports are filed as per the requirements including flight reports to Cape Town, petty cash and imprest reports as well as Tanapa and NCAA reports are checked and sent to accounts.
- In charge of all field ops stores at Head Office
- Assist in other field ops areas such as HR, procurement, and logistics.
- Record Monday Meeting minutes and distribute.
- To book, confirm and arrange for all internal/staff-based flights
- To book, confirm and arrange all internal transfers and accommodatio
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in administrative positions and Operations
- Previous experience in hospitality industry
- Diploma in any related field (Admin/financial understanding will add an advantages)
- High level of English speaking
- Ability to multitask
- Knowledge on Ms package
- Flexibility, commitment, dedication, and reliability

POSITION: FRONT OF HOUSE CAMP MANGER

As a Front of House Camp Manager your role is to assist in the overall success of front of house operations. This position helps oversee general guest service on daily basis. This position motivates, trains, develops, and directs the front of house employees to accomplish the objectives of the camp.

Daily Duties
- To manage all daily, weekly and monthly operations of the Front of House (FOH).
- To ensure all guests receive the best experience, compliant with our high standard of service offering.
- To ensure all staff, in conjunction with other managers, are motivated, have a high standard of work ethic and always follow the company procedures.
- To maintain strong cooperation and communication including training with head of departments and their teams.
- To maintain a positive relationship with the communities and neighbours.
- Ensure that general data is accurate, timely and consolidated; interdepartmental reports have to be generated on time to measure the performance of the individual departments.
- Health and safety including protection of all guests, staff, property and equipment (all company assets to be managed to limit potential loss to the camp).
- Ensure that overall repairs and maintenance of the property are being followed through, focusing on preventive maintenance.
- Ensure all procurement, stores and stock control are being followed correctly, in accordance with the manager.
- Ensure that the overall hygiene of the camp is in place and maintained to a high level.
- Ensure month-end stock takes are done and submitted on time according to the financial time-line.
- Exercise and implement cost saving measures.
Personal Specification
Skills/Knowledge/Experience:
- Minimum two years’ experience as a camp manager
- Good organizational and logistical skills
- Effective at crisis management and good at making instant decisions
- Strong leadership ability and confidence.
- Effective at training staff
- Good knowledge on the following:
