Tetra Tech International Development Services, headquartered in Arlington, VA is seeking to hire a qualified Knowledge Management and Communications Specialist to generate, capture and communicate knowledge and promote learning to further the activity’s objectives, for an anticipated 5-year USAID-funded biodiversity conservation initiative. The purpose of the activity is to support and strengthen capacity in Tanzania for biodiversity conservation in a manner that i) increases private sector engagement in conservation and NRM; ii) builds the capacity of public sector and civil society; iii) improves the enabling environment; and iv) enhances knowledge management across sectors. Activity interventions together will reduce threats to biodiversity in Tanzania while moving Tanzanian institutions further on their journey to self-reliance.

Position: Knowledge Management and Communications Specialist, Tanzania Natural Resource Management activity (NRM)
Location: Tanzania
Qualifications:
- 7+ years’ experience working with institutions, nationally and sub-nationally, to generate, document and communicate knowledge (evidence-based monitoring information, best practices, innovative models and lessons-learned).
- Experience developing information and knowledge management methods/tools in one or more technical disciplines such as natural resource management, biodiversity conservation, and/or sustainable livelihoods preferred.
- Master’s degree or equivalent, in a relevant discipline.
- Excellent communication skills in English.
