Early SASSA r350 Grant Payment to Commence April. In todays latest SASSA SRD R50 News – Finance Minister Enoch Godongwana recently revealed that 46% of South Africa’s population are beneficiaries of a social grant. These social grants are distributed by the South African Social Security Agency (Sassa).
Sassa distributes several different social grants, including the Older Persons Grant, Disability Grant and the Child Support Grant. These grants are normally distributed during the first week of every new month commencing with the older persons grant on the 3rd day of the new month
Early SASSA r350 Grant Payment to Commence April.
Sassa has announced that this change will come into effect in April 2022. They said, “ Sassa has heard your cry about the social grant payment dates each month! As from April 2022 social grants will be paid from the second day of the month. If the second day of the month falls on a weekend or public holiday, the payment will take place on the following working day”.
This will result in new payment dates for Sassa’s permanent grants. Sassa explained that the Older persons grant will be distributed on the first day, followed by the disability grant and the child support grant respectively. “We are a listening organisation and we are confident that this arrangement will work for you”, concluded SASSA.
