New 10 Characters Witcher Season 3. The next season of Netflix’s Witcher, The Witcher Season 3, will be introducing ten new characters in the plotline.
The Witcher Netflix’s series was released in 2019, which introduced the main characters from different timelines. The main characters are Geralt of Rivia, a Witcher (Henry Cavill), Yennefer of Vengerberg, a powerful mage (Anya Chalotra), and Princess Cirilla of Cintra, Ciri (Freya Allan). The Witcher Season 1 was criticized a lot because of its confusing timeline, but it laid down the groundwork for further adventures. The Witcher series is based on short stories and novels written by a Polish author, Andrzej Sapkowski, and on Netflix, the English translation was released.
The Witcher Season 2 was released in 2021, which entailed a less confusing timeline with more horrifying and dangerous monsters. The Witcher season 2 focused on the building of Geralt and Ciri’s father-daughter relationship. In this season, Yennefer, the most powerful mage, was shown without her powers and struggling in a world full of beasts to find meaning again. Geralt and Ciri were destined to meet and went on a journey to Kaer Morhen, Geralt’s hometown, where Geralt could train and protect Ciri from worldly dangers. However, at the end of season 2, the whole continent was aware of Ciri’s potential and wanted to get their hands for their own benefit.
The next season, Witcher Season 3, is on its way, as the script for the season was given the green light before the shooting of season 2. The fans are eager for the next season, and it is gearing up slowly with its production and casting process. According to the reports, one thing has been announced The Professor and his men, a group of assassins, will appear in the Witcher Season 3.
Along with the Professor and his men, various other characters in the Witcher Season 3 will be appearing. Below, 10 of the new characters from the Witcher books and video games are shared, who will be introduced in Netflix’s Witcher storyline.
New 10 Characters Witcher Season 3
10. “Marylebone” – Milva, aka Maria Barring?
Marylebone character is described as a person who “possesses not only a razor-sharp wit but a quick blade as well. Her age belies her experience, for she has been forced to mature quickly and learn to survive in a cruel world.”
This character described looks a lot like Maria Barring, also known as Milva. One difference between both of them is that Milva is an archer who carries a bow as her weapon, not a blade. This character might not be Milva from the books, maybe someone else.
9. “Picadilly”
Another Witcher Season 3 character is Picadilly, who will be joining the series from the next season. Picadilly is characterized as a man who “is second in line to the throne but seems more prone to a player lifestyle than to a political one. Though he gives off a carefree air, underneath it all, he’s rather shrewd at strategy and impassive to boot.”
With the new characters, Witcher Season 3 cast hasn’t been finalized yet, but for this particular role, Netflix is looking for an LGBTQ+ actor. As in December, an audition tape for the next season revealed a role for a gay noble; this might be it. This character was witnessed flirting with none other than Jaskier, the bard in the audition tape.
The consideration of LGBTQ+ actors does not sound similar to the character from the source material, the witcher books. In the audition tape, it was first thought that he must be a king, but right now, Picadilly, the King’s brother, makes more sense.
8. “Angel” – Aplegatt
The character named ‘Angel’ was instantly recognizable with Aplegatt from the Witcher books. The character description is that he is “a royal messenger, played by someone who will need to know his way around a horse. This middle-aged gentleman was tired of his life and the horrors he’d witnessed on the job until he heard something that revolutionized his outlook from that moment on.”
7. “Maida Vale” – Margarita Laux-Antille?
The next character who will be introduced among the Witcher Season 3 characters is Maida Vale, who is described as a “Plus-sized and powerful, she is a member of a particular group of women you don’t want to cross. Vivacious and self-confident, she’s sure to be a match for anyone she meets in The Witcher.”
This character, it turns out to be Magarita Laux-Antille, is a rector of Aretuza and a granddaughter of a famous sorcerer Ilona Laux-Antille. It indicates that the casting pattern of the Witcher Season 3 might have a codename starting with the same letter as the real name. However, until the Witcher Season 3 has been released, nothing is for sure.
6. “Parsons” – Fake Ciri?
A character who looks a lot like the child surprise, Princess Cirilla of Cintra, Ciri, is named Parsons. This character has been described as “a teenage girl convinced she is someone else in order to become a political pawn. A student that is brainwashed into believing they’re someone else.”
It was believed that this character, Parsons, is used as a Pawn with the White Flame, Emhyr var Emreis, the emperor of Nilfgaard. In the Witcher Season 1, there was already one Fake Ciri involved, and for the Witcher Season 3, this character can be another.
5. “Greenwich” – Giselher?
Witcher Season 3 character known as Greenwich is described as “A brave and loyal soldier, portrayed by an actor in his 20s, who feels his fervor fade slightly when he realizes his comrades are not as committed as he is.”
One theory is that this character’s story matches with Giselher, who is the leader of the Rats. This character might be shown as a loyal and idealistic soldier, but it is only a theory. The introduction of Giselher may be too early for the Witcher Season 3, and Greenwich might be a totally different character.
4. “Hampstead” – Hedwig of Malleore
The character description of Hampstead is that she is “a middle-aged married woman trapped in a loveless marriage to a man who is more like her child than her husband. Though she inhabits courtly life, her opinions more often than not fall on deaf ears.”
With her description, nothing much comes to mind, but she can be Hedwig of Malleore, Queen of Redania, and the wife of Vizimir II. However, this is not the case in Sapkowski’s novels. Along with that, Vizimir does sound childish sometimes in Netflix’s Witcher Series. It is possible that Vizimir’s wife might appear, as mentioned in the Witcher Season 3.
3. “Euston”
A new character, Euston, whose description doesn’t remind someone from the witcher books. Euston’s description states that she is “a ladies’ maid, played by an actress in her 20s, whose shy and timid appearance is hiding a lethal wildcard ready to put the hurt on those who stand in her way.”
2. “Victoria”
The next character who shall be introduced in the Witcher Season 3, Victoria, was given very little description, and not much can be theorized from it. Victoria’s description tells that she is “a gorgeous free spirit who is hot-blooded but kind-hearted.” With the minimal description of the new characters, many things remain in the dark, and the expectations are null about them.
1. “Richmond”
The last Witcher Season 3 character, Richmond, is described as “a gorgeous free spirit who is hot-blooded but kind-hearted.” Once again not a very elaborated description about a character to think upon. However, the Dandelion, Jaskier, is highly in need of a new lute (his musical instrument) again, as the previous one was destroyed when he was kidnapped by Reince, for which Jaskier might come to Richmond’s shop.
The new characters will be introduced in the Witcher Season 3, but their cast hasn’t been finalized yet. Well, the fans are going to be satisfied with this information of new Witcher Season 3 characters for now, and as the process continues, new information will be uncovered.
