The Wanging’ombe District is one of the Njombe Regional Districts. The name of the herd is derived from the name of the village that is in the village of Wanging. The headquarters of the Wanging’ombe District are located in Igwachanya village in Igwachanya County.
The herding district has an area of 3440.54 square kilometers, with a population of 161816 according to the 2012 census.

The Wanging’ombe District has Divisions 3, Ward 21, and 108. The ecology of the Wanging’ombe District is divided into two zones.
As a result of this ecology the residents of Cows are engaged in agricultural activities such as maize, sorghum, round potatoes, sweet potatoes, beans, cassava, nuts, wheat, legumes and peas and commercial products such as coffee, Tea, sunflower, pearls and peanuts as well as Pastoralism.
